IVF-Life Madrid, formerly IVF Spain Madrid, is a private fertility clinic of the Spanish IVF-Life group, located on Calle Manuel de Falla, in the Chamartín district, near the Santiago Bernabéu stadium. It offers IVF with or without ICSI, egg donation, the ROPA method and artificial insemination.
The clinic brings together consultation rooms, an IVF and andrology laboratory and an operating theatre on one site: the entire treatment takes place without changing facility[1].
The IVF-Life group also operates clinics in Alicante and San Sebastián (Donostia).
IVF-Life Madrid offers the following treatments[3]:
In vitro fertilisation (IVF): with or without ICSI. The laboratory uses a time-lapse system (EmbryoScope), GERI incubator, ZyMōt microfluidic sperm selection and Gidget traceability system[1].
Egg donation: IVF with eggs from an anonymous donor, as provided for by Spanish law.
Artificial insemination: less invasive technique, offered as first-line treatment depending on the case.
ROPA method: for female couples, one partner provides the eggs, the other carries the pregnancy.
Embryo adoption and double donation: embryos from other patients, or eggs and sperm from anonymous donors. The clinic also supports single women and offers fertility preservation.
Genetic and immunological tests: preimplantation genetic testing (PGT), genetic compatibility test, immunological study and KIR/HLA-C test[4].

First contact: the clinic offers a free initial information consultation, to be arranged online.
Assessment: blood tests, ultrasound scans and sperm analysis, carried out on site or by your doctor in the UK.
Treatment plan: the medical team establishes the protocol based on your assessment and history.
Treatment: monitoring of ovarian stimulation, egg retrieval under sedation, fertilisation in the laboratory and embryo transfer.
After the transfer: pregnancy test around 14 days later, then follow-up by your gynaecologist in the UK.

What is the success rate of IVF-Life Madrid?
It depends mainly on the patient’s age and the origin of the eggs. The IVF-Life group publishes cumulative pregnancy rates after three transfers on its website, for all its clinics, without independent audit. Ask the clinic for its results for Madrid and for your profile.
How much does IVF cost at IVF-Life Madrid?
The clinic does not publish its prices. As an indication, IVF with your own eggs costs between £3,900 and £4,800, IVF with egg donation between £4,800 and £6,500. My husband and I had an amazing experience with IVF Life Madrid. We live in Ireland but chose to go abroad for our IVF treatment as the Irish clinics can in no way compare to the expertise and care provided by this clinic.The staff at the clinic have always been person-centred and extremely kind and caring. From the very first call with the clinic (with the wonderful Clara) I knew we were getting a completely different experience from other clinics I had contacted. Clara explained in great detail every stage of the process-this had never been done with me before with other clinics (in Ireland). I immediately had a good feeling once I got off the call with Clara. This positive experience continued right throughout our communications and visits to the clinic. We worked with Dr Izquierdo who also was a wonderfully kind and empathetic man. He explained everything in great detail and gave us time to ask questions-again, this was very different to our previous experiences with other clinics where we felt rushed etc.The staff of this clinic really helped to make our ivf journey a very positive one. Each and every one of them that we encountered had a smile, shared kind words with us and helped us feel at ease. The communication with the clinic (Clara especially) was excellent and quick. We were recommended IVF Spain by my partner’s cousin, who had twins using their Alicante clinic, after we had a failed embryo transfer and inadequate service from a fertility clinic in Bristol, UK.Right from the start, there was a huge difference in the way the clinic in Madrid operated. We liked the way we could pick and choose the package that met our needs, and the team were no less than exceptional at every stage of our journey. We were impressed by the speed at which things happened from organising our initial chat, zoom calls with the doctor when we had questions, to finding an appropriate donor. We really appreciated all the extra tests, the confidence with which they shared their knowledge and the consistent contact throughout (Clara was amazing and was always there for us). Having had such a disappointing and emotional time with the clinic in Bristol, we had complete faith in what the team were doing to help us get pregnant.We were lucky to get pregnant on our 2nd embryo transfer just 7 months after our first contact with the clinic and only 3 short trips to Madrid. We would put 6 stars if we could, and would recommend wholeheartedly to anyone looking for individualized attention. The medical and para-medical staff were all highly competent, but also kind / compassionate, available to answer all questions and ensure the smoothest possible process, while minimizing medication. We didn't feel pressured to sign for more expensive treatments - but were instead informed of all available options. Procreatec was also able to connect us with a fantastic and specialized acuponcturist, Mio, who followed me for the entire process, and whom we recommend warmly.
If I were to use three words to describe this clinic, they would be: professional, efficient, human. This is the place that I would recommend to family and friends.

I had an amazing experience with egg freezing at the clinic. I strongly recommend them. I traveled from abroad for the procedure and had a great experience throughout the process. I did the medication and tests etc in my country of residence and was extremely well supported by the clinic’s staff. The staff and the doctors are extremely component, understanding and caring.
We had a very positive experience with this clinic in Madrid from the very first email exchange to the moment our daughter was finally born. All of the staff members we were in touch with throughout our IVF journey were very responsive, attentive, and professional, and we cannot recommend IVF Spain enough.We are particularly grateful to Dr. Manuel Izquierdo and director of nursing Raquel Pascual- not only for the excellent medical care, but particularly for the emotional support and encouragement they provided throughout the whole process, which as many of those going through an IVF will know is very taxing.I would certainly encourage couples who are not based in Spain to consider this clinic- we are based in Benelux, but the instructions provided were so clear, and the communication so smooth, that the procedure did not require many back-and-forth flights.Thanks to the whole IVF Spain team- the receptionists, the embryologists, the nurses and the doctors, for helping our greatest dream come true.
Stay away if you expect good communication. They have little idea about how to support foreign patients. The nurse assigned to me was living in a world of her own. I felt I was bugging her whenever I asked her a question. If this clinic is supposed to be one of the best I cannot imagine how the ones rated as bad could be !
Like others, we are experiencing poor communication and lack coordination between the medical side and business/scheduling office. We were told we were on track to be pregnant by a doctor but then the scheduling office suddenly couldn’t accommodate us and follow-up inquiries went unanswered. We aren’t sure, but suspect business problems. Despite already investing thousands in blood tests and pre-payments, we are talking to other clinics. Save yourself the heartache ❤️🩹 and stay away.
IVF-Life destroyed our viable embryos (mosaics) without consent or authority. They refuse to accept that they have done anything wrong and, as they are a private clinic, they say they are unregulated by any professional body in Spain. We switched to IVF-Life from another clinic in Madrid and deeply regret that decision. Go elsewhere.
